Riding a motorcycle rather than a horse? - No worries, Physio can help your riding to!

While I am just learning to ride motorcycles, there are a lot of similar principles in injury management and long-term body conditioning between horses and bikes. In fact, the impact injuries from falls for both equestrians and bikers are some of the most similar, both can involve high speeds and hitting the ground hard and fast.

Day-to-day riding as well has a great overlap in the muscles used. Posturally, on the bike, you are constantly holding your balance while resisting the external force of the air, making tiny adjustments to your position to react and respond to your machine shifting. This can lead to back pain, aches in the hips and knees, fatigue in the arms and shoulders, and stiffness in the neck.

Online sessions help work through areas where you have noticed pain or discomfort in or after riding and help you build a routine to improve your mobility and strength, so you can enjoy every ride.
