As a physiotherapist I am able to identify conditions and provide a personalised rehabilitation program or help you find other help if needed.
I specialise in horse riders working with injuries, operation care and return to ridding as well as doing rider fitness & conditioning and biomechanical assessments.
I also work with other sports injuries, and MSK conditions, from bad backs to sprained ankles, I can help you get back to doing what you enjoy, and living pain free.
To make physiotherapy more accessible to you, most sessions are done online!
This provides a convenient way of getting one to one sessions without the hassle of getting to a clinic or sitting in a waiting room, and no need to worry about parking!
In the rare case online sessions just aren’t working then we can also arrange home (or yard) visits in the Guildford area.

Riding asks more of your body than most sports.
Every stride demands balance, stability, coordination, and quiet strength — all while adapting to the movement of a powerful partner beneath you. When something in your body isn’t working well, the signs often start subtly: stiffness in the hips, tension in the shoulders, lower back ache, fatigue, or the feeling that your position just isn’t quite right.
Rehab for Riders is a practical guide to understanding and improving the body you ride with.
Written by a physiotherapist and rider, this book explains the most common physical issues riders face — from tight hip flexors and weak glutes to postural fatigue and asymmetry — and shows you how to address them with targeted, rider-specific training.
Inside you’ll find a clear 6-week strength, mobility, and control programme designed specifically for riders, helping you:
• Improve balance and stability in the saddle
• Ride longer without fatigue
• Reduce aches, stiffness, and recurring injuries
• Develop a stronger, more effective seat
With simple exercises that can be done at home or at the yard, this programme supports your riding rather than competing with it.
Because better riding doesn’t start with the horse —
it starts with the rider’s body.
